The villages of Passerano are the trace of a past rich in traditions and culture: the villages of Marmorito, Passerano, Primeglio and Schierano were aggregated in the Municipality of Passerano Marmorito in 1929, but each has kept its own particularities intact.

Passerano preserves the memory of its centuries-old history within its walls and among the papers of its historical archive. The patronal church and the Ala (the old cattle market) frame the square that hosts the town's festivals and events. The sixteenth-century Mint now houses the municipal library and bears witness to the importance of Passerano in the past.

Primeglio presents itself with the ancient Church of San Lorenzo, its particular bell tower and the ruins of the Church of San Michele; the latter, hidden from view by thick vegetation, was once part of an existing monastery since 1152.

Marmorito present itself with its geological riches and as a panoramic terrace on the Monferrato. From up there at 415 meters above sea level, you can admire a large part of Monferrato.

Schierano, with its austere stone and exposed brick buildings, preserves the medieval tower, the Baroque church of San Grato and the eighteenth-century chapel of San Sebastiano.
